Mother Machine 6 : The Six Tapes

This is a story-driven album as well, but not in the same vein as the others. Mother Machine decides to hold a concert! There has been this narrative, in my mind, that MM is this powerful but lonely figure, a Dracula style character if you will. She is often despised, misunderstood, exiled, and is surrounded in tragedy. However, she isn’t this inherently evil entity; she is made out to be. I took that idea and ran with it. I and tried to bring the darker, mechanical sounds to the party.

This project highlighted problems for me. I simply cannot stick to one set of rules, in this case: 130 bpm – go! I had to get some D&B in there, Hard Dance, etc. I will forever explore. Don’t Think, Just Dance. Mother Machine.
