Why must we diminish our own positives with greater yet opposite negatives? We don’t even wait for someone else to attempt to tear us down, we will do it for them. Perhaps, then, strength is gained by simply being true to who we are and allowing those whom might oppose the opportunity. In the mean time, we must continue to support one another in two ways: by helping to repair one another, and by staying the hand of those about to tear themselves down again. In the long run, when the support is no longer needed, all that energy can be diverted to more enjoyable pursuits.
