It&#8217;s-<\/p>\n<p>Spike yells: IT DOESN&#8217;T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!<\/p>\n<p>Henchman 1 mutters something foul.<\/p>\n<p>Spike turns to Simon:\u00a0 That did feel good.<\/p>\n<p>Macho Simon: OOOHHH YEEAAAH!<\/p>\n<p>Spike:\u00a0 For @#$%&#8217;s sake, that&#8217;s getting annoying.<\/p>\n<p>Simon: What &#8216;chu gonna do &#8217;bout it, brotha?!<\/p>\n<p>Spike thinks to himself: <em>what AM I going to do about it?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Spike grins to himself:\u00a0 Oh, you&#8217;re going to smell what Spike&#8217;s cooking.<\/p>\n<p>Spike spins on his heel and leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Simon shrugs: If you want to be the man, you have to beat the man.<\/p>\n<p>Spike whispers:\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to beat you alright&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Simon waves: HAVE A NICE DAY!<\/p>\n<p>Spike grumbles.<\/p>\n<p>Simon leaves to head outside and Spike dashes for the smell of food.\u00a0 Spike has a plan!<\/p>\n<p>Spike begs and pleads with henchmen for beans, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and a couple other items and helps to cook.\u00a0 They sat down together and swapped stories of Wintersdays Past.<\/p>\n<p>They told a story of how Balreth lit an arrow on fire, shot it through five snowmen and pierced the center of a gold coin.\u00a0 Then, he made it into a necklace for Grace.\u00a0 She wore it until someone thought it meant she was a bad merchant, then she took the necklace and shoved it down that person&#8217;s throat and left the corpse in the marketplace as a warning.\u00a0 Ah, the good old days.<\/p>\n<p>They told a story of how Nyx and Lalandra tried to play fetch with Georgia in the snow, but ended up playing fetch with themselves because Georgia just looked at them strangely.\u00a0\u00a0 They told a story of the Featherfall Festival and why they&#8217;re building this gigantic snow slide coming off of Skycoast into the sea beyond.\u00a0 They&#8217;re very excited to try it out.<\/p>\n<p>They occasionally mentioned that in festival times, Crysania always liked to remain more in the back and let everyone else have the spotlight.\u00a0 The henchmen appreciated that.<\/p>\n<p>Spike had ate so much, and swapped so many stories he had lost track of time &#8211; and Simon.<\/p>\n<p>Spike&#8217;s insides were gurgling, and he was in a bit of pain.\u00a0 He needed to act &#8211; now.\u00a0 He needed to find Simon, but find him unaware.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t long before he found Simon inspecting the slide.\u00a0\u00a0 Spike snuck up alongside Skycoast, and got the attention of a couple henchman with his attempt at inconspicuousness.<\/p>\n<p>Spike began his sprint towards Simon:\u00a0 SIMON!<\/p>\n<p>Simon turns around only to receive a flying shoulder to the stomach!<\/p>\n<p>Henchman 3: SPEAR! SPEAR!\u00a0 BAW GAWD HE BROKE HIM IN HALF!<\/p>\n<p>Simon lays flat out in the snow holding his stomach while Spike quickly climbs a couple steps up the nearby ladder, leading up to part of the slide.<\/p>\n<p>Henchman 5: DON&#8217;T DO IT! DON&#8217;T DO IT! BAW GAWD HE HAS A FAMILY!<\/p>\n<p>Spike ignores the plea and elbow drops Simon from the ladder.<\/p>\n<p>Without hesitation Spike hovers right above Simon&#8217;s head and unleashes a tremendous amount of gas.\u00a0 Simon&#8217;s head ignites and melts some surrounding snow.<\/p>\n<p>Spike smiles to himself: <em>it worked!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Spike, a bit of out of breath but feeling relief looks down, still smiling:\u00a0 Spike 3:16 says I just whipped your ass&#8230;with my ass.<\/p>\n<p>A dazed Simon has no response as almost all henchmen in attendance are cheering or laughing loudly.<\/p>\n<p>Spike:\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want to hear another &#8220;OOOHHH YYEAAHH&#8221; and that&#8217;s the bottom line, because Spikelangelo Said So.<\/p>\n<p>A couple henchmen fell over in laughter.<\/p>\n<p>Simon&#8217;s flame just flickers in the snow a bit before he stands up and brushes himself off.<\/p>\n<p>Henchman 1 is making his rounds:\u00a0 The snow slide is done, dood!\u00a0 Crysania wants everyone up top!<\/p>\n<p>There is a bit of groaning, as the climb to the top isn&#8217;t exactly brief.<\/p>\n<p>Upon reaching the top, Dandd and Crysania offer some words of cheer and reflection about Wintersday and the last 10 years of Quin.\u00a0 They keep it short because the air in the room is all about the slide.\u00a0\u00a0 People are anxious to try it.<\/p>\n<p>The henchmen gather around the window overlooking the slide, and anxious is the right word.\u00a0 The jump is much more perilous now than it seemed before. \u00a0All but one henchman back away from the window.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing the opportunity, Spike frantically gestured to Simon &#8211; who set up for the Tag Team Maneuver.<\/p>\n<p>Spike ran full speed and leapt into Simon&#8217;s folded hands.\u00a0 Simon fell backwards and propelled Spike with even more force towards the hesitating henchman at the window.\u00a0 Spike dropkicked the henchman with significant force out of the window onto the massive slide!<\/p>\n<p>Henchman 1:\u00a0 @#$% YOU!!!<\/p>\n<p>Everyone quickly ran towards the window to see the flailing henchman accelerate rapidly down the slide, and take flight off the other end! &#8230;where he impacted flatly on the water (and made the crowd groan in pain) and probably promptly caught hypothermia.<\/p>\n<p>Simon:\u00a0 Rest.\u00a0 In.\u00a0 Peace.<\/p>\n<p>Crysania:\u00a0 Probably didn&#8217;t think that one through very well.<\/p>\n<p>There was a lot of shaking of heads.<\/p>\n<p>Crysania:\u00a0 Welp.\u00a0 Happy Wintersday Everyone.\u00a0 I hear you can make Simon&#8217;s head explode with your own gas.\u00a0 Who else wants to try?<\/p>\n<p>Simon begins to sprint down the stairs: Oh, @#$% THIS!<\/p>\n<p>A couple henchmen give chase: PICK ME, DOOD!<\/p>\n<p>Spike, Dandd, and Crysania all give laughs that fill the upper chambers of Skycoast.<\/p>\n<p>A very merry Wintersday Indeed.<\/p>\n<p>References:<br \/>\nProfessional Wrestling<br \/>\nGuild History<br \/>\nDisgaea<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>10 Years.<\/p>\n<p>I look down at the grail they got for me, even if it wasn\u2019t specifically something they went out to find for me.\u00a0 It\u2019s something I cherish.\u00a0 Having this Keg of Holding, the Inexhaustible Inebriating Imbibry, helps too.\u00a0 I wonder if it will ever run dry.\u00a0 Time to refill.\u00a0 I sit here in Skycoast alongside the Spirit of Crysania and I can\u2019t help but smile.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to remember that she died\u201d I catch myself muttering.<\/p>\n<p>I recall the story to myself.\u00a0 Crysania died in the underworld almost 10 years ago.\u00a0 She always was the first one in and the last one out.\u00a0 Something remarkable happened though, and I wouldn\u2019t have believed it had I not been there to see it for myself.<\/p>\n<p>The Quin said no.<\/p>\n<p>The Call of the Hoolequin, collectively, deemed Crysania\u2019s death unacceptable.\u00a0 They believed in her, so she believed in them.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t easy, grappling with her own death.\u00a0\u00a0 Not only that, but as the Quin believed in her more \u2013 she gained more inexplicable powers.\u00a0 Poor girl couldn\u2019t handle all that and fractured into even more spirits.\u00a0 She spent entirely too much time trying to juggle regaining herself and supporting everyone else.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s only here because they believe her to be.\u00a0 When they stop believing she goes back to being dead.\u00a0 You wouldn\u2019t know it, from the way everyone acts.\u00a0 There\u2019s never a whisper of her ever being gone and she never stops doing what she does.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to describe what she does.\u00a0 A little bit of everything, I think.\u00a0 Maybe, it\u2019s just easier to say she\u2019s just what you needed \u2013 right before you knew you needed it.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s good like that.<\/p>\n<p>Rain\u2019s anger.\u00a0 Razy\u2019s bloodthirst.\u00a0 Cerulean&#8217;s Preparation.\u00a0 All the different facets of Crysania that erupted as she, herself, manifested.\u00a0 She\u2019s gone through quite the journey all on her own.\u00a0 Now look at her,\u00a0the human human resource manager, and she manages people with humility.<\/p>\n<p>Look at all the other major characters.\u00a0 The Rich and The Lucky, they\u2019re quite a pair.\u00a0\u00a0 The Menagerie and the Necroleptic.\u00a0 All the henchmen.\u00a0 Ah, the henchmen.\u00a0\u00a0 Hours of entertainment, them.\u00a0\u00a0 They all kept her alive through sheer force of will.\u00a0 I wonder if they cared about keeping her alive, specifically.\u00a0 I wonder how often they forgot, just as I did.\u00a0 I still forget, and I live here.\u00a0 I&#8217;m just as reliant on her as the other facets.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I see her floating around being an artist.\u00a0 She seems to have passed off more of the actual day-to-day adventuring to everyone else.\u00a0 The world has moved beyond monks it seems.\u00a0 Perhaps, one day,\u00a0 they\u2019ll want the Spirit of Crysania again.<\/p>\n<p>The Anchorwind can be felt far and wide, I think.\u00a0 It\u2019s not something easily forgotten.\u00a0 She\u2019s not something easily forgotten, even if we\u2019re all alone now \u2013 Her and I.\u00a0 Sure, Spike and Simon are around much of the time but we&#8217;re just the most enduring facets. \u00a0Spike, the facet of her sense of adventure and curiousity, and Simon is her facet of loneliness and memory loss.\u00a0 Of course,\u00a0 She wants to be wise and peaceful like me one day.\u00a0 Good luck.<\/p>\n<p>We try so hard to fit in but we\u2019ll disappear when she does.\u00a0\u00a0 So far, no one is in a hurry for that.\u00a0 I know I\u2019m not.\u00a0 I\u2019ll miss \u201cFTM.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s QUINtessential.\u00a0 We all are.<\/p>\n<p>-Dandd Polyhedron.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Very Merry Wintersday 2016 Spike: Hey, you!\u00a0 What&#8217;s your name?
