Just hours ago, I wrote about being held captive within my mind.\u00a0 I was mindful of my situation but understood I was hurting and did not now to begin healing alone.\u00a0 I was outnumbered and could have used some reinforcements.\u00a0\u00a0 As if it was the perilous climactic scene in a movie, reinforcements arrived.\u00a0 Even better, though,\u00a0 the reinforcements offered more substantial aid and more numerous than expected.\u00a0 They gave me the opening I needed to break through, and with a smile on my face, I took full advantage.<\/p>\n
I almost always feel a ball of energy in my solar plexus.\u00a0 I’ve heard some people describe it as passion, others as Chi.\u00a0\u00a0 Sometimes this feels cold, hollow, and akin to a vacuum trying to draw in everything around it.\u00a0 This nervous state cannot be ignored, but instead only managed.\u00a0 I must simply resist the urge to yield and act poorly.\u00a0 However, other times this energy pours forth in an outwards direction with warmth and is invigorating.\u00a0 Akin to an engine of love or joy,\u00a0 I find myself inspired to tackle what lies before me with vigor.\u00a0\u00a0 It can be overwhelming when coupled with racing thoughts of grandeur; I can bite off more than I can chew.\u00a0 I need to be present, but having outward energy is exponentially preferable in virtually every way.<\/p>\n
I had support, something I don’t always have.\u00a0 The feeling in my solar-plexus changed from one of fear to one of hope and gratitude.\u00a0\u00a0 Music made me happy again, and I found myself doing tasks effortlessly again. \u00a0My appetite returned, and I wanted to cry for entirely different but positive reasons.\u00a0 To someone forced to fight, being given an opportunity for peace is a godsend.\u00a0 I understand there are times of struggle and times of peace, but I feel the former are long and destructive while the latter is short and inadequate for repair, let alone progress.<\/p>\n
I was given an opportunity to change the tide,\u00a0 given a chance to improve the situation.\u00a0 Often, that’s all I need is an opening, and I can ride the momentum forward.\u00a0 I’ve accomplished more today than I have in some time, and it’s only mid-afternoon.\u00a0 I will finish this thought and continue to make progress while I still have this energy.\u00a0 The path before me is lit, and I will walk it with confidence until it goes dark once more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
